A rescued cat finds a new ‘brother’ who looks just like him and forms an emotional attachment with him.

A Japanese woman had previously acquired a shelter cat. A short time later, the mother noticed a kitten that looked precisely like her Onni on the same shelter’s page. Cats who join the shelter, she claims, are only allowed a week to find a new home.

The Japanese woman took the day off work and went to the shelter first thing in the morning to adopt Nika, a cat she named. She took him to the vet for an examination, and after determining that he was healthy, she brought him home and introduced him to the first cat.

On the other side, Onni began acting well toward the infant almost immediately. In a couple of weeks, Onni and Nika became friends and have been inseparable ever since.

Despite the fact that these cats are from different moms, their white-striped coloring is practically identical, and Nika is gradually becoming more like Onni as she grows older.
