Dave, a former surgeon, has always loved traveling and kayaking with his dogs. Then, one day, he discovered the perfect way to combine the two. A boat designed exclusively for dogs was built by the man.
‘Our dogs have always liked accompanying us on trips in cars and boats. ‘Giving kids that chance wasn’t difficult, and boats are enjoyable to make in any case,’ Dave adds.
Dave got the idea after noticing that one of his dogs could fit comfortably into the cargo compartment of a kayak he had built earlier. He used special fasteners to keep the water out.
Thanks to Dave’s ingenuity, which was fantastic for dogs, he was able to do what he loves with his pals, and the thrilling canines were given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride in a kayak, which they truly liked.
‘They seem to be having a lot of fun.’ They are thrilled even when we only pull out the boats. Dave continues, ‘They take their seats, and we’re gone.’
After that, the dog kayak was passed on to a new generation. ‘Now my wife and our new golden retriever go on boat adventures,’ Dave reveals.
