A man discovered 175 pounds of nuts beneath the hood of his pickup vehicle, concealed by a squirrel while he was gone.

Bill Fischer of North Dakota discovered a walnut warehouse beneath the hood of his pickup vehicle.

The squirrel fell in love with the automobile and chose to set up its winter storeroom there. The man was not surprised by his discovery. Bill Fischer’s Chevrolet Avalanche has been transformed into a squirrel’s storeroom every time his neighbor’s walnut tree produces a harvest since 2013.

During this period, he has become accustomed to the red-haired “lodger” and finds the situation amusing. Bill is confident that the squirrel selected his automobile for its accessibility. Plus, there’s certainly enough space under the hood of the Chevrolet Avalanche to keep it well-fed throughout the winter.

“I have other automobiles around, but she consistently opts for the truck.” Even when I parked far away from the tree, she still finds Avalanche and conceals the nuts there,” he explained. This time, however, was different from the others since the squirrel managed to set a new record. When Bill went on a business trip and the pickup was left on the street for four days, she piled thousands of nuts — 175 pounds of stock – in it.

According to the man, he used to fill five five-gallon buckets with nuts when washing the car, but now it takes seven. He had to remove the vehicle fenders to collect everything. Despite this, he continues to hunt for nuts elsewhere. Getting all of the nuts out of the automobile and entirely removing them is quite impossible. Bill declared, as he has in the past, that he would give away nuts to anyone who wanted them. Those that no one will take will have to be thrown away, which is bad for the squirrels.
