Marc and his siblings have made great progress because of their parents’ efforts. It took much more work for his family to settle in the United States. Marc’s parents worked day and night jobs for the majority of his formative years.
Marc is able to admit that their efforts made it possible for him to enjoy a life in which all of his wishes were realized. He compliments them for keeping things simple and says they never let their kids know how difficult life was for them.
When he became older, he says, he learned how hard his parents had to work to support him. When you’re young and naive, you don’t know how hard your parents work. My parents took turns taking care of the three of us while working several shifts at night.
And you don’t fully understand the idea of money—how difficult it is to earn and easy it is to spend—until you’re a bit older. Then, to their surprise, he led them to the house of their dreams on a peaceful lane. He wanted to show his appreciation, so he gave them a house.
