Ruth Rubinstein: How a lady built an empire with the aid of lipstick and lotion

Beauty is Power, the credo of this woman has helped women feel more empowered by allowing them the freedom to look their best. She was born in Russia in 1880 and launched her own cosmetics company in 1920. She claimed to have a miraculous cosmetics recipe that had been utilized by actresses and courtesans in the past, but that was debatable.

Later, she establishes a beauty parlor at a prestigious address that the elite of Paris seek out. Following a revolutionary idea in which clients receive customized care, counseling, and makeup training, a laboratory was established in Saint-Cloud to manufacture its own cosmetics and make-up items.

She is such a perfectionist that she even searches the aisles of the flea market for gorgeous cases and compacts to use as inspiration for her packing. Someone who studied dermatology and interacted with many scientists came to the conclusion that beauty and science are intertwined.

It will then use this method to build its products. The first beauty schools and the profession of a demonstration were founded thanks to the training these ladies provided to salespeople in department shops.
