Memory-impaired woman goes missing, but her devoted dog finds her safely

A Texas lady who went missing for days in a park is finally safe thanks to her devoted dog, Maxie. Despite being familiar with the paths and having recently experienced memory loss, Sharon, 64, got lost while out for a stroll with Maxie.

With the help of Sharon’s family and friends, the deputies searched the 2,800-acre park for days without finding anything. Sharon’s kids’ friends have formed a group to track for their friend’s mother. They eventually stopped when they heard Maxie barking.

There were probably no other dogs nearby at the time, so they knew it was her as soon as they heard the bark. On the other hand, Sharon and Maxie were OK. She was lost and unsure of what to do, but she wasn’t confused.

If Maxie hadn’t informed the rescuers, they might not have discovered her. Sam, Sharon’s son, continues, “This dog was with Maxie and had no collar; he stayed by his side for four days.”

And that simply serves to highlight the dog’s steadfast loyalty. Their brother’s dog, Maxie, went away two years ago. Sam remarked, “He’s really the last thing we have of him.”
