According to Johnny’s adoptive mother, she did not initially plan to adopt him. Nevertheless, after spending some time with him, she had a change of heart. A photo of 3-year-old Johnny responding to the adoption news that was posted on Twitter has amassed more than 150,000 likes.
Johnny recently participated in the education program, which is a system in which the state only pays for the maintenance of minors living temporarily in foster homes who require guardianship. When the child was just 17 months old in February 2014, Tiara consented to adopt him.
She has now raised him with her kids. As indicated above, adoption was not first brought up. It was hoped that Johnny would eventually reconcile with his mother. As a single parent, I first didn’t consider adoption.
But Johnny changed my plans. I felt the feeling he was a member of our family from the outset. He comes to me when he gets up in the morning, and Tiara says in an interview, “Mom, I’m so happy.” Regardless of who adopts you, they become your family member. What do you think this tale merits?
