Father worked on a tattoo for 30 hours in an effort to ensure that his kid would not be timid.

Canadian citizen Derek Prue Sr. took a brave and compassionate decision to stand up for his son, Derek Jr., when he saw that the latter was reluctant to shoot a t-shirt in the pool.

He was proud of his birthmark, but he had seen that his son had begun to cover it up. He wanted to let his son know that he was not the only one. To help his kid feel more secure, he made the decision to get the same birthmark permanently inked on himself.

When the father went to Juicy Quill Tattoo, he anticipated the tattoo session to last a few hours, but it actually lasted 30 hours, with the first session being around four hours.

Derek Sr. was committed to demonstrating to his kid that he was not alone and that he should be proud of his birthmark despite the suffering and time investment. In order to show his son the tattoo, which was an exact reproduction of his son’s birthmark, Derek Sr. removed his shirt as the whole family arrived back to the swimming pool. The youngster was astonished that his father had done this for him and was overjoyed to see it. The youngster, who was no longer self-conscious about his birthmark, also made the decision to remove his t-shirt and compare his birthmark to his father’s tattoo.

All of Derek Jr.’s father’s suffering at the tattoo parlor was worthwhile since he now feels more self-assured and is no longer embarrassed by his birthmark. The father’s affection and encouragement had a profound effect on his son’s sense of self-worth. This is a moving illustration of a father’s love and the extent he would go to ensure his child’s happiness and wellbeing.
