There was nothing left for the owner of the Tuxo cat to do except surrender him to a shelter when he became 18 and recognized he was no longer amusing and content and needed more attention.
The staff at the shelter was aware that it is unlikely that older animals will find homes.
The staff did keep posting about Tuxo on the shelter’s social media pages, just in case. They were taken aback by the cat’s success in locating a residence. It turned out to be a man trying to adopt his older cat.
He decided to give Tuxo a comfortable old age after being affected by a photograph of the cat he saw online. The cat loved to sit on his owner’s lap and was kind and social. He has a very kind and friendly disposition. Just recently, a genuine feline Tuxo celebrated its 20th birthday.
He is surrounded by love and care, is in great shape for his age, and may have a few more years to live. And we will thank the worthy individual who brought this great happiness.
