Over 10 years ago, Anthony Gruner saved a little, ten-day-old lion cub. The man began taking care of a little kitten. So began a protracted and ongoing connection that attracted hundreds of people.
Living in an Okavango wildlife area with her savior is a lioness named Saga who is now an adult. Anthony spends almost all of his time with his tail friend and hardly ever leaves the park for a long amount of time.
There, Anthony found the lioness who has come to play such a vital role in his life. The father grabbed the little lioness and raised her as his own kid. Over time, Saga has become close to Anthony and begun to harbor affections for him.
So she now runs to give him a bear hug as soon as she sees him. To make Saga feel at peace, Anthony created a park on more than 2,000 acres of land just for the lioness.
