The child was determined not to keep the puppy, but her mother was able to persuade her otherwise.

Zenda was a street dog from Panama. She once found food in a mound of rubbish in one of the buildings’ courtyard, where she was spotted by a really nice girl. Zenda was staring at her with such a hungry gaze that she couldn’t look away.

She had a turkey thigh in the car, which she used to lure the dog in and drive her home. The dog seems to have spent many weeks with them. The young girl and her mother took care of her, cleaning her, treating her, and feeding her delicious meals.

After all, Zenda was a colossus, weighing in at 22 kg. Zenda had a prior owner who had abandoned her, we later learnt. Zenda struggled to adjust to her new surroundings and had an agitated demeanor, so the girl pondered leaving her.

In addition, the girl’s mother was ill, and there were two additional cats in the home with whom Zenda was at conflict.

After the girl’s mother fell in love with her and refused to let her leave, the dog became a permanent resident of the house.
