At a shelter, Meryl, a three-year-old pit bull, met Tako, an eight-year-old pit bull. Their owners led them both there… From the time they first met, our heroes were inseparable.
They can’t stay separated for more than a few minutes because they start weeping and wailing right away. As a result, they share an enclosure and always sleep in the shelter in an embrace.
A few months ago, a man came at the shelter. He was looking for a wonderful partner, and when he met Meryl, he instantly fell in love with her. He was ready to greet her after completing all of the paperwork.
As they were brought out of the enclosure, Tako and Meryl began to whine. They exchanged a pair of somber stares. Meryl stayed strong, all four paws on the ground, refusing to budge.
The man determined that he would either adopt two dogs at once or not take any at all after witnessing such strong attachment. Fortunately, he chose the first option. Tako and Meryl shared a home with the same owner.
