A Texas family travels 12 hours by car so that their dog can give birth in the privacy of their own home.

The birth of a stray puppy was guided by a lucky star. Texas was going to become cold, and the dog couldn’t nurse any more children. But she got lucky and met Aubrey and her husband, who introduced her to a great, caring family.

Aubrey had a comfortable labor place set up in the house two weeks before the due date – a soft, separated space with medications in case things went awry. It was getting pretty cold in Texas.

A heavy blizzard then enveloped the state. When the electricity went out, the dog gave birth to its first child. The first puppy was born, and he was rapidly losing his heat.

Aubrey and her husband moved the dog into the guest bathroom, which contained a steam shower. They turned on the hot water and all of the faucets. When the fourth puppy arrived, Aubrey realized that no amount of planning would help.

It was getting too cold — not just for the puppies, but also for the kids. After that, the family decided to go to Aubrey’s mother’s house in the neighborhood. What these people needed to stay calm in a heated room, birth a dog, and care for the babies!

Aubrey, on the other hand, made a solid commitment to provide the puppy with the best possible care when she adopted her from the shelter. She kept her promise no matter what it required.
