Pets, like humans, get old. Many owners simply throw them out into the street as an afterthought. Kokki is a nice old spaniel that got lost while walking the streets of California.
Staff at the shelter discovered the puppy and adopted him. The owners were also found, but they said that they had taken a tiny Labrador and that Kokki, who was 15 years old, was no longer needed.
Kokki began to cry in front of the shelter personnel when he learned the owners didn’t need him. Even the coldest heart would be touched by this, but the owners were unresponsive, and Kokki spent a long time searching for them before realizing she had been abandoned.
Despite this, the dog was still friendly to people. Fortunately, she was picked up by sympathetic strangers who volunteered to take her after the shelter workers publicized her tale on Facebook.
She found a loving home and adoptive parents regardless of his age. She is protected and cared for by real-life heroes who adore and respect her.
