It should come as no surprise that dogs are considered man’s best companion. Even your closest friends and family members are not always willing to put their lives on the line for you, unlike a dog who does it without hesitation.
So, this Florida family recently adopted a German Shepherd named Holi. When the owners’ daughter, a seven-year-old girl, became distressed, Holi ran to her help without hesitation.
A rattlesnake arrived and crawled up to Moly as she was playing in the yard. The dog saw Moly and rushed to his help, lying between him and the snake. The dog put himself in danger to protect the girl, yet he did not flee.
The community mobilized to raise funds for an antidote and rehabilitation after he, who had already saved the girl, requested immediate aid.
The first day brought in 15 thousand dollars, and the second day brought in more than 50 thousand dollars. Holi was fortunately saved while getting therapy until he fully recovered. Dogs are certainly our best buddies and so much more.
