While the bride and groom were out of the home, a cat almost wrecked a wedding by devouring the flowers.

The cat, Minnie, decided to prepare a surprise for the owners before their wedding day. By swallowing a piece of a bridal bouquet provided to the couple by coworkers, the cat poisoned herself.

Minnie consumed white flowers, which are poisonous to cats. Renal failure, even in very little dosages, can be fatal. For a brief while, the owners left the cat alone at home with the flowers.

When they returned, they saw pollen around the cat’s nose and mouth, allowing them to react promptly and inform the doctors.

Minnie was put under anesthesia and blood was taken for testing. Then, as one of the extra-renal blood purification techniques, hemodialysis was performed. The cat’s therapy began just 36 hours before the wedding.

The vet added, “I’ve dealt with a lot of pet crises, but none like this.”

Minnie, on the other hand, made a quick recovery, and the couple discovered that she was in fine health on the wedding day. The bride later informed the doctors that when she found that her cat was well, she sobbed tears of relief.
