After his dog was assaulted by an alligator, a guy stated, “I’d sacrifice my life for him.”

An alligator dragged the dog into the water. The owner had no choice but to fight a dangerous predator. Early in June, a man was walking around the perimeter of his farm when an alligator emerged from the marsh and grabbed his rescue dog.

It began dragging the dog’s paw into the water. The man tried to drag the dog by its collar, but the predator was unyielding. After then, the man made a decision. He dove into the water and began slapping the alligator over the head.

The beast bolted, leaving the injured dog on the water’s edge. The dog’s paw had been severely damaged, needing surgery right away.

Only minor injuries were sustained by the man. Crocodiles are at their most hazardous between April and June, when they become more active and aggressive.

Following the event, the guy set up an alligator trap in the hopes of capturing the crocodile before it caused any further harm. He tried using a rooster to attract the reptile, but nothing has worked thus far.

The guy isn’t given up hope of removing a predator from the county, especially because a local wildlife management agency is eager to relocate the alligator away from humans.
