Possibly the most unusual species the natural realm has to offer
Alba is the only albino orangutan discovered in nature, making her one of the most majestic and beautiful creatures you’ve ever seen. The fact that primitives are incredibly different and intellectual people is what makes them our closest relatives, but this orangutan is far more unusual than anyone could possibly dream.
That was a really fitting name for her, as it meant “white” in Latin. The beautiful animal was thankfully rescued many years ago thanks to the efforts of a support organization in Indonesia, and she has since received a great deal of attention and has become incredibly popular all over the world.
Because of her current dangerous disease, albinism, the animal is in grave risk and is likely to develop major consequences, such as very poor eyesight and hearing issues. Other orangutans, by the way, are the female’s greatest pals and are constantly there to encourage and console her. They are clearly devoted to one other, sharing a great deal of love and delighting in their precious time together.
The zone they are in is watched and protected 24 hours a day, and there is a canal and feeding platforms where the animals are fed twice daily. The rare animal will have a perfectly healthy and pleasant existence free of any risks thanks to the efforts and generosity of these kind-hearted people.
