When going through a flooded river, a small elephant named Moyo was rescued from drowning. When keepers guarded her, she was abandoned by her pack due to her young age, and she looked to be encircled by a bunch of hyenas.
Moyo was taken to the «Wild is Life» refuge, where Roxy Danckwerts, the sanctuary’s founder, became her mother.
Moyo is now 14 months old and follows her human mother everywhere she goes. She can recognize the woman’s voice and smell, and she always knows where she is. Roxi is having trouble controlling her raids as she grows in size.
They have such a strong and unique bond, and they love and care for one other deeply. Theirs is a unique friendship.
Despite the fact that it would be extremely tough for the lady, she has decided to release her back into the wild, believing that freedom in the forest is the ideal environment for wild animals.
