A guy purchases an aircraft in order to save stray dogs!
Paul Steklenski, a network engineer and war veteran, chose to earn his pilot’s license and buy a puppy in the spring of 2013.
Steklenski not only met a new part of his family after visiting the shelter, but he also learned about the individuals who rescue abandoned and stray dogs every day. He made the decision to help the dogs as well. He founded Flying Fur Animal Rescue in 2015 and began renting planes in Pennsylvania.
Despite the high expenditures (about $ 25,000 in the last two years), Steklenski sends 15-20 desperately needed animals to the shelter every day, and he is grateful for the opportunity to help.
Steklenski was able to purchase an airplane owing to the help of volunteers and contributions. Steklenski is a true animal lover. And the thrill of the flight is always reflected in his images with the rescued puppy next to him.
The flight with Emma, though, was particularly remarkable.
Because the airspace over New York is one of the world’s busiest, private planes seldom fly here. Steklenski, on the other hand, flew in with Emma this time.
“Imagine if a 14-year-old dog, who had barely lived, had the ability to view the whole city of New York… She has never had adequate medical care or attention in her life, and now she is on a plane!”
Emma was rushed to the veterinarian as soon as she stepped off the plane. Nicole Brooke remarked, “She struggled for so many years.”
Despite all that had happened to her, Emma was finally given the opportunity to reveal who she truly is. “She’s looking for love,” Brooke explained.
“Paul gives us an important chance to move pets from North Carolina to Westchester, New York,” Brooke explained. “It would be tough for us to save the dogs from there without his help.”
