The owner is saved by a cat from an extremely dangerous snake that crept through the open door and was covered in the shopping bags.

Ricky Owens came home from the grocery and stacked all of his groceries beside the refrigerator. He then walked out of the house, leaving the door open.

When the guy returned, he saw that Gordon, his cat, had aggressively circled the chair. He snarled, swung his claws at him, and leaped back at the same moment. Ricky had no idea what was going on with the four-legged, so he left the house once more.

When he returned, the cat had already begun hissing at the grocery bag. Ricky went to pick up the shopping bags and discovered a tiger snake only a few steps away from him and the four-legged one. It’s one of Australia’s most poisonous and deadliest snakes, and a run-in with one may leave you in tears. Ricky had to risk his life to get the snake out from beneath the refrigerator.

“Only a few inches of the snake’s belly protruded from behind the refrigerator,” I said. “I had no idea where its head was or where its tail was,” Ricky explained. The man was able to catch the snake by the tail and then throw it over the backyard fence.

Ricky stated after this occurrence that he would take his cat’s behavior seriously and would likewise lock the door.
