After spending years on the streets, a sick and freezing cat knocked on the family’s door and begged to be brought inside.

A ginger cat was pawing at a door, begging for rescue, in a heartbreaking scenario. Fortunately for this sick and freezing cat, he selected the proper door to ask for aid, since the owner of that house was a gracious woman who welcomed the sad cat without hesitation.

On Valentine’s Day, this woman from Quebec raced to the door of her house after hearing a peculiar noise from outside to see what was there. Surprisingly, she saw a defenseless cat begging for rescue. Kitty was freezing and feeling bad. The kind woman immediately opened the door and started to take picture of kitty, which she later sent to a rescue center owner Marie.

When Marie Simard saw the cat’s images, she requested the nice woman to bring the cat to her clinic. So she was already there within 30 minutes. The cat was in terrible shape. After a vet’s examination, they discovered a variety of illnesses in the cat, including frostbite, rotting teeth, fleas, and even open wounds. He also had diabetes and a skin allergy.

He was given the name Aslan by the staff, who, despite his poor health, was so kind, easygoing, and friendly to all of the vet’s employees that they questioned he was a stray cat, but rather an abandoned one. With his number of illnesses, Aslan would not have been able to survive the harsh winter. Fortunately, he knocked on the proper door for assistance, which arrived just in time, transforming his life forever. Aslan also had vision problems that need surgery.

Aslan’s appearance improved day by day. He was a kind and gentle cat who befriended two other rescued cats at the shelter. He didn’t want to go outdoors, so he seemed to forget about his horrible life outside. Aslan enjoys cuddling and taking naps on his favorite pillow.

Let’s hope that this courageous cat overcomes his ailments and is soon rehabilitated and adopted, finding a permanently lovely home.
