Elephants are among the most intelligent animals on the planet.
Not only because of his incredible recall, but also because of his capacity to deal with a wide range of issues.
When an elephant approached the medics in Zimbabwe, they couldn’t believe their eyes. They realized right away that something awful had occurred.
The elephant appeared to be requesting something, but no one could figure out what it was.
The medics were prepared to protect themselves if the animal became hostile at any time, but they rapidly recognized that this was unnecessary. The physicians knew what had happened as soon as the elephant reached them.

As it turned out, the elephant, afterwards dubbed Pretty Boy, had gotten himself into trouble. He had a terrible bullet wound on his head and was in excruciating pain.
The elephant had been shot in the head and did not appear to have much time left. Thank goodness they knew precisely what they needed to accomplish. The bullet had gone too high, according to X-rays. The poacher’s shot would be lethal if it was a bit lower.
Pretty Boy was given anesthetic, which allowed the surgeons to remove the bullet on the spot. And, due to the assistance of physicians, he would no longer have to suffer the most excruciating anguish from the bullet in his brain till the remainder of his days. Elephants, it is said, never forget.
And the folks that assisted this elephant will never be forgotten!
Pretty Boy’s ability to distinguish between good physicians and bad poachers who injured him is outstanding. Never mistrust an elephant’s instincts! Pretty Boy will hopefully be able to avoid elephant-killing monsters in the future. He knows where to look for aid, at the very least!
