Capone, a 7-year-old Staffordshire terrier, was overjoyed when he was rescued from the Ionia County Zoo in Michigan.
The new owners, however, returned the dog after some time since they had decided to replace him with another pet. As a result, Capone found himself in a cage once more, and he was no longer the happy dog he had been.
He had changed dramatically; he was always melancholy and refused to eat; it appeared that the dog had lost his sense of purpose in life.
Before this occurrence, he greeted every visitor to the shelter with a happy wag of his tail. He no longer wanted to converse with anyone, as if the dog had accepted his fate and had given up hope of ever being taken away.
Things took a melancholy turn once all of the dogs were adopted by new homes.
Capone was left alone in a room full of empty cages. The dog’s photo was shared on Facebook by the shelter workers to aid him. And it worked: he piqued the curiosity of numerous users. One couple was booked to see Capone after falling in love with him at first sight.
Joe and Ashley went to the shelter to make a good impression on the dog. They presented him with a gift: a collar with his name etched on it.
The caregivers were anxious since Capone had lost faith in people, but a miracle occurred: the dog quickly ran to the delighted guests. This was the start of his new life with two beautiful individuals who are willing to go to any length to ensure their pet’s happiness.
Surprisingly, Capone began to grin after transferring into a new home!
One of the shelter’s caretakers posted a picture on Facebook and remarked on the happiness of the dog.
