As a parent, you want to give your child everything and more. No task is too large, no cause is too minor, and no mountain is too tall.
Why? Because you never want your children to feel lonely, fearful, or sad.
A 6-year-old daughter called Ben Sowards, a parent from Utah, USA, and he knew he had to get immediately to her school.
Valeria had, as it turned out, been in a minor accident. Although there was no danger, Ben could imagine his young daughter’s discomfort at getting her trousers wet.
Before leaving to pick up his daughter, Ben had an idea. Instead, he chose to make his daughter laugh, figuring that there must be something he could do to alleviate her agony slightly.
According to the Huffington Post, Ben eventually spilt water over his own clothes before getting into the car and driving to school.
He needed to “hide” something, so when he arrived, he asked Valerie if he could use her schoolbag.
Valerie figured out what her father was doing when she observed the enormous wet smear on his crotch.
As if nothing had happened.
Things improved when Valeria realised her father was in the “same” situation.
To be honest, I knew she was embarrassed, but I reasoned that as long as I could make her laugh, everything would be fine, Sowards said.
She was quite irritable. However, as soon as she saw my jeans, she gave me the look that told me everything was alright. Every father is familiar with this particular look. We just sauntered out of the school as if nothing had happened.
Ben merely needed to get his daughter to school by automobile. But he went above and beyond to make sure she didn’t feel humiliated. What a great father!
While there are many excellent fathers in the world, few have Ben’s inventive creativity.
Please feel free to share this story on Facebook to honour Ben Soward for his incredible initiative.
