Video Shows Elementary School Principal Aggressively Paddling 6-Year-Old Student

A disturbing video has surfaced, showing an elementary school principal and a clerk in southwest Florida paddling a 6-year-old pupil for allegedly scratching a computer screen.

The incident was recorded by the child’s mother, who went to the school to pay a fine for the damage her daughter was accused of doing. The mother stated she recorded the encounter because she didn’t think anyone would believe her tale.

The school district’s handbook outlaws corporal punishment, even though Florida law does not clearly prohibit it. The child’s mother described the paddling as harsh and horrifying, causing bodily and potential psychological injury.

The family’s attorney voiced concern about the severity of the punishment, describing it as “aggravated battery.” The mother took her daughter to the doctor to document her injuries.

The act has caused indignation and cries for justice, with the expectation that the school district will respond correctly.
