Carrie Underwood caused a sensation online with her high-slit metallic gown, which exposed her legs. Although public opinion on the star’s attire ranged from criticism to admiration, it did not detract from the prestige of the event, which Underwood went to honour a friend’s significant milestone.
Carrie Underwood, an iconic performer, appeared at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Gala on June 13. Wearing a one-of-a-kind and eye-catching metallic dress, Underwood left jaws dropping as she stood on the red carpet among fellow music industry pals and performers. However, not everyone was impressed with what she wore.
Underwood looked stunning in an all-silver ensemble, wearing a handmade sleeveless metallic bodice with a beautiful skirt. Rouched and bunched at the front, the lower half of her dress displayed her toned legs, while the back dropped to the floor.
She teamed her beautifully created outfit with matching strap shoes and accessorised with amazing jewellery, including two necklaces, dangling earrings, bracelets, and stunning diamond rings.
Underwood attended the distinguished event as an honoured guest to celebrate the brilliant songwriters who were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Hillary Lindsey, her beloved friend and cowriter, was one of the inductees, which she boasted about in a carousel post she shared online.
“I had a great time celebrating Hillary Lindsey and other talented singers and artists last night… It was awesome to have so many genres represented in one area! Of course, being there for my girl, Hillary, was a real pleasure! “No one deserves it more!” Underwood wrote.
The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer also praised her pal, saying, “I am SO proud of my friend and cowriter for the impact she has had on music, and I am beyond blessed to have learnt so much from her over the years.” Cheers to Hillary and all the inductees!!!”
People flooded social media sites with comments after seeing photos of Underwood on the red carpet with other industry heavy hitters including as Nile Rodgers, Keith Urban, Clive Davis, and Diane Warren.
The majority of AmoMama readers said Underwood’s appearance was unimpressive and unpleasant. “Surely, she has better taste than THAT!!!” commented one of our readers.
Another said, “The dress is not flattering,” while someone who was absolutely taken aback asked, “What was she thinking?” An AmoMama reader diverted their attention to how Underwood’s legs appeared, saying, “She should hide those legs, is all I can say.” Another person agreed, saying, “Not pretty legs!”
Despite the criticism Underwood received, other readers came to her defence, complementing her looks, particularly her legs. “Strongest legs in country music,” one praised, while another simply said, “Beautiful ❤️.”
Regardless of what people may think of Underwood’s appearance, particularly her glittering dress, the garment looks to be popular, as the identical style has been worn previously by a model.
Rafik Zaki, the designer brand responsible for Underwood’s dress, published photographs of model and influencer Kenzy Mamdouh wearing the much-debated gown on its official Instagram account.
According to the brand’s description for their carousel post, quirky designs are their speciality. “Wearable art is our philosophy #rafikzakidesigns,” wrote the user.
Aside from conversations over Underwood’s Rafik Zaki designer dress, others were simply pleased to see the Oklahoma native at the event. A few lucky admirers even got to meet her, and one of them turned to Instagram to brag about their experience.
