Underwood attended the distinguished event as an honoured guest to celebrate the brilliant songwriters who were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Hillary Lindsey, her beloved friend and cowriter, was one of the inductees, which she boasted about in a carousel post she shared online.
“I had a great time celebrating Hillary Lindsey and other talented singers and artists last night… It was awesome to have so many genres represented in one area! Of course, being there for my girl, Hillary, was a real pleasure! “No one deserves it more!” Underwood wrote.
The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” singer also praised her pal, saying, “I am SO proud of my friend and cowriter for the impact she has had on music, and I am beyond blessed to have learnt so much from her over the years.” Cheers to Hillary and all the inductees!!!”
People flooded social media sites with comments after seeing photos of Underwood on the red carpet with other industry heavy hitters including as Nile Rodgers, Keith Urban, Clive Davis, and Diane Warren.
