After taking a look at these frogs, your first thought would be, “What offended these creatures so much?” But those black rain frogs are just what they seem like. The southern shore is home to these frogs. They live in six-inch-deep tube dwellings.
Despite its little size, the African rain frog may grow to a maximum length of two inches, making it unique. These frogs belong to a species that dwells close to the forest’s edge and caves. They are able to survive without being close to any open water as a result.
During mating season, the female rain frog secretes a sticky substance to prevent the male from jumping off her back. This characteristic is referred to as sticky amplexus. This shows how the female rain frog is clinging to the male firmly.
That must be what being loyal in this day and age implies. After the female has hatched, the male stays in the cave to guard the eggs until the young African rain frogs hatch.
