A Japanese woman had previously acquired a cat from a shelter. A short while later, the mother discovered a kitten on the website of the same shelter that resembled her Onni perfectly. She claims that animals sent into the shelter are only allowed one week to find new homes.
The Japanese woman used her day off from work to visit the shelter early in the morning to adopt a cat she called Nika. She brought him home and introduced him to the first cat after taking him to the doctor for an examination and learning that he was in good health.
Onni and Nika resembled one another like they were twins. In order to properly acclimate the cats to each other, the woman gradually introduced Onni and Nika while keeping them in different rooms.
Onni, on the other hand, started acting sweetly toward the infant right away. In a short period of time, Onni and Nika grew close and have been together ever since.
Despite originating from different moms, these cats have virtually identical white stripes, and as Nika gets older, she resembles Onni more and more.
