Cat always brings his “Baby” blanket with him everywhere he goes.

Sara Budzynowski worked at Wilson Veterinary Hospital, where one of the clinic’s departments was The Sparky Fund, an animal refuge. She spent a lot of time there and was present when a litter of gorgeous 3-week-old kittens was taken in. They were all healthy, except one kitten. Due to an infection, a part of the unhappy man’s tail had to be cut. Budzynowski aided with his care, and the more time she spent with this cat, who was later called Renly, the more attached she felt to him.

“About a week after he had that portion of his tail cut, I brought him home to foster him, and the rest is history,” Budzynowski adds.

Budzynowski and her fiancé were delighted to have him in their home and quickly grew to love him. They purchased him a warm blanket and a cute stuffed bunny. After 10 months, he’s still utterly infatuated with them.

He’s had the blanket and stuffed bunny since the day he moved in. He wears the blanket all of the time.

“He has liked his blanket from the day we brought him home and generally brings it around his room to where he wants to sleep with it,” Budzynowski says. The blanket he has is his favorite.

However, after the couple adopted two corgis, Hotchner and Azula, he’s taken on the role of devoted big brother, sharing his beloved blanket with them.

“We observe Renly put his blanket next to Hotch’s kennel when we get home from work to let them out, and Hotch will try to bring it into the box with him, so it’s like Renly is trying to share it with him as well,” Budzynowski says.

If you don’t have a blanket, a stuffed rabbit will suffice.

Renly’s attachment to the blanket is almost certainly as strong as it was on the day he was adopted and welcomed into this loving household. The blanket serves as a constant reminder of the people he loves, and it is most likely a way for him to keep them close to him at all times. “That blanket has seen a lot over the months and has gone through the wash so many times,” Budzynowski continued, “but I can’t bear to replace it and intend to keep it for the rest of his life.”
