Flea, a missing one-year-old cat, is found at the bottom of a well by a dog.

Sisters Freya and Keira Hill of Northamptonshire, England, discovered the loss of Flea, a one-year-old kitten, towards the end of April. The girls were scared that the pet would get into trouble because she was often curious and impulsive.

Freya and Kira looked in all of Flea’s favorite spots in the home and yard, but she wasn’t there. After several days of looking, the girls had almost given up hope, assuming the cat had been struck by a car or stolen by new owners. It’s possible that the flea was picked up. She wandered around the neighborhood and addressed individuals, hoping to find someone who might be interested in the lovely cat.

But, a week after Flea vanished, the unexpected occurred: a neighborhood dog discovered the cat. She detected the animal’s scent and discovered it… at the bottom of the well. And it’s only a few meters from your house! The dog’s finding was revealed by a loud bark, which drew the attention of others.

Flea’s family also visited the well and were relieved to discover their cat unharmed. Despite the challenges, the cat was unharmed. She sat for a week, clinging to a ledge and famished, but sipping water accumulated at the well’s bottom. Firefighters were called in to assist in the animal rescue. They cut the grate, and the kitty fell and went down through it. Food was used to entice the cat out, and she was soon in the hands of delighted owners.

According to the family, the radiator kept their cat warm throughout the evening. She ate a lot and purred continuously, letting the owners know how happy she was to be back home. The owners aim to keep a closer eye on Flea now. “She’s certainly trying to make the most of her nine lives,” Freya observes.
