A wonderful nursing cat from a Polish animal sanctuary looks after other animals and assists them in recovering from surgery.

There is an average animal shelter in the Polish city of Bydgoszcz, where brave and loving individuals assist unlucky animals to get a second shot at a happy life.

Some of the sad souls who have arrived there require medical assistance, while others simply require attention and affection. Radamens, a cat, is one of the shelter’s visitors. This cat is the shelter’s most unique inhabitant. And it is he who gives this sanctuary its own character.

The reality is that Radamens – quite seriously and in accordance with his own mental impulses — assists animals during tough post-operation recuperation. The cat’s story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. The former owners brought it for euthanasia at the age of two months.

The kitten’s upper respiratory tract was inflamed severely. Because the sickness appeared to be incurable and odd, the kitten was separated from the other animals. Radamens, however, was cured thanks to the efforts of the shelter’s personnel. As soon as he regained his footing, he went to work caring for animals that had ended up in the shelter because they were unwell or recovering from surgery.

The cat seemed unconcerned about whether it was assisting cats, dogs, or other animals. Radamens was even jokingly referred to as a full-time nurse by the shelter’s personnel.
