A wild deer emerges at her window and becomes her savior for an elderly widow who believes she will be alone forever.

Mette Kvam, 81, a native of Aurland, lost her spouse some years ago and was left alone.

The woman’s strength was weakened by her seclusion and loss, and she began to slip into melancholy – until a wild deer appeared from the forest one day.

Mette was taken aback when she saw an unexpected visitor — a magnificent animal, and the woman hurried to feed him bread. Flippen was Mette’s nickname for the deer that began to visit her twice a day. The lady offered bread and veggies to her new acquaintance in exchange for him allowing her to rub him.

These trips have been going on for years, and the deer has never failed to show up.

Mette says she can’t picture her life without Flippen’s regular visits.
Following Mette’s narrative, local hunters opted not to pursue Flippen, allowing the deer to freely roam the forest without fear of being shot.

Because the couple had no children, the woman was left utterly alone after her husband died. Flippen became her savior, and she now has nothing except a relationship with him. This tale affected netizens, and several of them expressed their gratitude in the following way:

“How fantastic that such a wild and normally fearful animal has come to trust man.” If this happened more frequently, the world would undoubtedly be a better place.”
