A stray German Shepherd was discovered near woodland in Fort Worth, Texas. It was clear that the previous owners had thrown her aside.
The dog was terrified and refused to approach anyone. Judy, the leader of the local rescue group, noted, “I knew it was very crucial to entice her and earn her trust.” The woman began by observing the dog’s every action in order to gain trust.
Judy has already saved hundreds of scared and abandoned dogs from that region, which is also a known dump for unwanted animals, and is used to remaining calm and patient with canines like this German Shepherd. To make contact, the woman speaks in a calm tone and repeatedly assures the dog that everything is alright.
“At first, the dog rushed away into the forest merely seeing me and my car,” Judy recalls. But she didn’t give up and came to feed her every day.
The woman came one morning, and the dog was there waiting for her.
“I realized I was getting close to being able to take her with me.” The German Shepherd, on the other hand, had a secret. The dog took the woman into the woods, where she was shown another scared dog. Scars on the face of a pit bull.
“The shepherd made it apparent that she intended to communicate that if you take me, you’ll also take my companion!” Judy penned an essay. It’s unclear if the dogs were pals from the start or only became friends afterwards, but it’s evident that they love each other. The woman was unable to do anything and was forced to swallow two pills.
After the vet examined them, it turned out they are healthy. This was a great news for Judy because she started to search for a foster home.
