A cleft lip cat becomes the best buddy of a little girl who was born with the same problem.

Before the baby was born, Caitlin Cusack learned that her daughter would not be like everyone else. Doctors advised the expecting woman that her child would most certainly be born with a deformity, such as a cleft lip. Ivy was born in the year of 2019. She was born with a cleft in her top palate, just as the doctors expected.

The girl had to undergo multiple painful plastic surgery throughout her first year of life. She had entirely healed by the time she was two years old.

And it found out that the infant was obsessed with cats during the first two years of her existence. The young family had an adult cat at home. They became friends, but the cat was adamant about avoiding becoming the small girl’s playmate.

As a result, the parents decided to acquire their daughter a little, lively cat. They were certain that the animal should come from the shelter. Then a friend of Caitlin’s gave her a picture of Sargent Pepper. Sargent Pepper’s appearance looked to be a portent of fate: the kitten had a fissure in its upper mouth, and no one would want to take in the strange-looking cat. And because Caitlin’s husband admired the Beatles, the cat named after the album’s protagonist was a wonderful coincidence.

As with the girl, volunteers helped pay for the operation to fix the birth defect in the cat. The procedure went well, and the kitten was once again happy and healthy. He proved to be the ideal company for Ivy: they spent a lot of time together, playing together and falling asleep on the sofa together, exhausted from fussing and games.

This story has been told by volunteers and they received grant of $25000. This covered the cost of Sargent Pepper’s operation.
