Bertram had to spend his early years at a shelter when his breeder decided he wouldn’t make any money off of him.

Bertram, originally known as Jasper, was only 4-5 months old when his breeder threw him at the shelter carelessly because he was too big to sell. Breeders are concerned not only with the health of their animals, but also with their appearance, as they strive for maximum profit.

As a result, unfortunate animals that didn’t have the correct appearance were quickly discarded as useless garbage. The same thing occurred to Bertie, who spent his early years in a Tulsa shelter. But, all of a sudden, everything for the poor, miserable dog has changed.

Kathy Grayson, a New York-based artist, came across Bert’s photos while perusing PetFinder. Kathy fell in love with the tiny dog at first sight and decided to adopt him.

She rushed to Tulsa to rescue the gorgeous puppy from the shelter and provide him with a safe haven, a new sweet home, and a new happy life.

So, fate was kind to this abandoned puppy, and he was given a second shot at life, this time a better one filled with experiences. Kathy and her fashionable puppy had a great time going to fairs, art openings, and operas together. Kathy recognized that people wanted to meet this wonderful puppy in person. He became famous on Instagram, where he has over 400k followers.

Bertram now spends most of his time in Kathy’s office, where visitors came not just for the art, but also to see the online celebrity. They even brought their dogs to meet Bertie at the Hole art museum. As a result, this kindhearted woman transformed Bertram’s life, making it happier and more adventurous.
