To keep shelter pets warm throughout the winter, an 89-year-old lady sewed over 450 sweaters and blankets.

Animal shelters house thousands of dogs and cats.

Some of them are fortunate enough to find a loving family soon, while others have been waiting for their new owners for a long time.

Despite the fact that shelter personnel try their best to comfort their temporary dogs, sometimes the situation isn’t ideal. One of the English dog shelters approached kind-hearted folks with a request for assistance.

Employees of the facility made the following notice on their Facebook page:

“All good-hearted people who know how to handle yarn and knitting needles are asked to donate sweaters for chilly and lonely pets throughout the holiday season.”

The news drew a lot of attention, and 89-year-old Maisie Green was one of the first to comment.

The woman set right to work, and the shelter canines were able to enjoy the fruits of her labors almost immediately. “I love dogs and I adore knitting, so this is the ideal marriage of the two!”

The happy lady exclaimed. Macy began donating time and money to the orphanage on a regular basis.

She gave the dogs about 450 blankets and a large number of sweaters over the period of three years. When asked about her job, the woman stated:

“Knitting a blanket takes me three days, while knitting a dog sweater takes me one day.” It keeps me occupied, and I frequently knit while watching television. “I’m delighted I’m able to assist the shelter’s four-legged residents.” Maisie’s assistance is much appreciated by the shelter workers. After all, owing to a generous woman’s generosity, dogs are no longer terrified of the coming of winter.

Warm sweaters and blankets provide warmth and coziness for four-legged dogs.
