This is a story about a mother cat’s devotion to her kittens, and how she went to great lengths to bring them together.
When the employees at Mill Road Vet Clinic in Whangarei went to open the clinic doors early one morning to begin their regular business, they were surprised to see something in front of the doors. It was a package containing four four-week-old kittens. They didn’t hesitate to take in the abandoned kittens.
They were so beautiful and defenseless that the workers fell in love with them.
Nicole, one of the workers, decided to take them home to look after them overnight after checking them out. The next day, something else unusual occurred. The security guard noticed a tabby mother cat loitering around the clinic’s front doors that morning.
He was attempting to enter the clinic every time the entrance was opened.
When the clinic personnel realized the cat had no intention of leaving, they took her in. They soon discovered that the obstinate cat is a nursing mother.
As a result, they deduced that it’s the mother of the four kittens they discovered the day before, who were clearly not abandoned.
Someone apparently abandoned them all, but the mother cat may have been scared and fled, spending the night searching for her small babies. The riddle has been solved. The caregivers let the mother to greet her kittens after everything was clear. The reunion scenario was quite moving. They were all overjoyed.
Fortunately, a member of the vet clinic quickly adopted them all.
