The owner of a homeless dog was able to find him. It’s all because of his timely assistance to an unfamiliar female.
Workers at the animal shelter discovered the dog, called Picasso, on the street.
He lacked a collar, and no one looked for him for a long time. Picasso noticed 16-year-old Abby Ellis sitting on the side of the road with her head on her knees as the shelter workers walked their dogs. The four-legged approached the stranger and clutched to her to soothe her.
“Abby’s head was dropped to her feet, and she sank forward in her body. Picasso was able to sustain herself by moving beneath her body. She began to feel better after that. “Abby would have fallen and smacked her face on the ground if it hadn’t been for this dog,” Abby’s mother claimed.
When Abby felt the dog’s warmth, she began to pet him, and the terror began to subside. The young lady felt comfortable and was able to regain her footing before returning home with her mother. She couldn’t forget about her rescuer, though, and went to the shelter the next day. Picasso ran to hug Abby as soon as he saw her.
The girl recognized at that point that the dog would accompany her home. “I’m delighted he selected me,” Abby remarked.
