When the Parks family became parents, they were concerned about how their golden retriever, Hinckley, would react to the new addition to the family.
The pet, on the other hand, began to show the newborn exceptional affection and attention. Hinckley first mistook baby Theodore for a new toy, according to the young mother Whitney.
Later on, though, the dog began to join the boy everywhere he went.
He may, for example, lie down next to him, hold him, and protect him.
“From our bed, Hinckley kept an eye on Theodore for the first several evenings. He was fascinated by the baby’s every movement while he slept in his cot. Hinckley learned after a few days that the “toy” was not actually his and would not go anywhere, as Whitney Parks recalls.
She expressed her satisfaction at her son’s bond with a pet. “When I see them and realize Hinckley is taking on the role of an older brother who looks after his little sibling, my heart melts,” Whitney continued.
According to Hinckley, she is still confused who Theodore is. He is aware, though, that he is unique and that he must be observed.
People on social media are ecstatic about such friendship. They actively remark on a photograph of a little kid with a golden retriever.
“No one loves you as much as your dog does.” or “The beginning of a lifelong relationship and commitment.”
