Discover nature’s most sumptuous bird, which has little in common with a regular pigeon.

We wholeheartedly concur with those who claim that nature is the world’s finest artist. Today, we’d like to introduce you to the pigeon, certainly one of the world’s most attractive birds. When we hear the term “pigeon,” we often picture a common bird that is present in almost every nation. But this pigeon is not your typical pigeon; it is both beautiful and huge.

This type of pigeon may be identified by its vivid blue feathers and attractive tufted head. These pigeons are also enormous, with some becoming as large as a regular turkey.

The crowned pigeon, which resembles a pheasant and is predominantly a terrestrial bird, will fly up to the lower branches of trees and flail its wings noisily if it perceives even a slight threat.

Because they live mostly on the ground, birds consume fallen fruits, seeds, and berries. They also occasionally eat snails and other tiny invertebrates.

These pigeons often nest in pairs and only produce one egg, sometimes two. These pigeons then produce eggs. While the male spends the majority of his time on the nest during the day, the female spends the majority of her time there at night.

Male pigeons take an unconventional approach to taking care of women. Some of the sounds they make include drumming, cooing, bowing to their mistress, and dropping their tail to the ground.

Sadly, the number of crowned pigeons is rapidly decreasing. As usual, the root causes are simple: habitat degradation and bird extinction brought on by humans.

The problem is made worse by the pigeons’ near-fearlessness around people. Poachers are skilled at exploiting this. These days, this species is regarded as rare and fragile.
