The cat has been pleading with his father for hugs every morning before he leaves for work for over eleven years.

Ten years ago, Jack Smith adopted a stray kitten and gave him the name Tinga. Jack’s daughter brought the newborn home, where she nursed him and intended to nurture him for the rest of her life.

A few months later, she relocated, and Tinga lived with her father, who at the time worked for a construction company. The cat was determined to keep the man who had taken on the role of his legal foster parent.

I start my day at 7:00 a.m. At 6:30 p.m., Tinga jumps into my lap, settles up, and starts purring loudly. The animal’s owner, Jack, continues, “It seems like he understands everything and has the same emotions as me.”

When the man arrives home at midday, Tinga will be there to welcome him. Once he heats his meal and begins to eat, Jack extends his paws and cradles him․

The cat periodically nods off while curled up so comfortably on Jack’s lap. Tinga follows Jack everywhere he goes. Tinga was really fortunate to be found by the man at the ideal time and place!
